Inferno ordered. Dealer says it will be 4 weeks. Just need to sell my Frontier and count the days till it is here.
I had mine entire front clear Plasti dipped. Came put nice. I can post pics if anyone wants?
I did the Toytecs and it turned out great! no rubbing and looks level finally

yeah, i shoulve mentioned that, like [MENTION=72881]Ridin4Runner[/MENTION] said...they're making 3500 of each model, but the US only gets 1500 per model of those. Whether or not they'll do another batch for 2016 who knows, but I'm pretty sure the 2015 run stops at that number if thats what toyota announced.

Some of the reasons I think Toyota will make 3400 for the US or North American market.
As of 2014, the Toyota 4Runner is sold in the U.S., Canada, Central America, Bahamas, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile.(wiki)
In 2013 Toyota had 1233 US dealerships. (Toyota)
Some dealers have already sold 4 or 5 TRDs.
I've seen more than one dealer with 2 on the lot at the same time.
Based on photos on this forum, it appears the suspension, wheels and tires are installed at the port.
Average production for TRD/Trail Team FJs is around 3000.

Took the 4runner in for a little work today. I think it turned out good.
Roof rails blacked out and rear emblem also done.
This picture shows how almost level she is after I had the Toytec 1/4 front top plate spacer put in last week. Just a little rear high(less than 1/4 tank of gas) which is what I was after.
I'm loving this machine!

I just ordered the toytec front spacers myself.
Question - did you completely remove the roof rack to plasti dip? Or leave it on and tape it off?

Yea I'm on the highest notches for driver and passenger. Really strange, sort of. The 275's look right. The lift did make the ride a little stiffer for sure. Was to be expected though. Cornfed uses that UHMW plastic, which while it may not be as durable as the aluminum spacer, I would think it will allow me atleast enough time until I change the whole suspension.

Thanks King noob. Doing things little by little. The rails were removed and then painted instead of dipped. The rear letters are factory black(ordered them from toyota) and the rear emblem is also painted. Hoping that painting them will last longer than dipping. Time will tell.
What size spacers did you get? Still loving my little mini front lift. No problems or change in ride IMHO.
Just adding this to the overall convo here. I've been running premium fuel since tank 1 from the dealer. Added a K/N(some hate it, I like it) the next day. Just added the Crawford Eco thing and all good so far. Guys, she runs great and just seems to breathe so well. I don't feel like I have to mash on the peddle to get going. I have 4100 miles on her now. Eco thing added last week so time will tell. Either way, not trying to start a debate about gas or filters, etc. Just passing on my personal none documented seat of the pants feeling about how my 4runner is running! I know that some of it is just jedi mind tricks but I'm down with that and loving this thing!

From my perspective, I'm coming from a V8 with ~100 more horses, so I don't particularly like pressing the pedal 3 inches and going nowhere, but I knew that going in from the test drive. I'm considering CAI mod (or just new Air Filter), Magnaflow, ECU tuning, AMP Power Step, but really don't have experience with any of them, so may just take it to a performance tuning shop. I know I'd like the sound upgrade even if any performance gains were minimal.
Also, those 275/70/17 BFG KO2's AppfreaK posted look sick! Adding to my wish list :reddance:

I'll be tracking the MPG with the fuelly app on my phone so we'll see where that goes but to be honest I don't care if there is no bump in MPG. I'm just glad that the motor seems to have more zip and it just doesn't feel like it's aspirating when I press the pedal down. I mean I guess I have a little over $100 for the air filter and Crawford Eco thing and I'm just a premium gas type guy so that is going to happen anyway no matter what the naysayers say. I can afford it so I use it. I know that everyone has a butt dyno and I don't think that everyone or anyone will agree with mine but I'm liking the results of these little mods so far. When we get into our hot summer and I have more miles under my belt I may feel differently but for now it's all smiles.
Yes, those 275/70/17 Ko2's that Appfreak put on do look sick. Wicked sick. If they come out with the lighter C version I will be looking hard at those. I think the E rated ones are too much overkill for the light off-roading that I do here in Alabama. Out West in the rocky deserts etc, I would be using those E rated I think. Good reviews keep coming in on these tires.

You had me curious and was reading on the Crawford site. The very last thing it says in bold font "intended for off road use only".

Is the TRD pro series only for 2015 or is it for the rest of the production cycle for the 4Runner?

Yeah, that is probably a normal lawyer thing because this thing slightly alters something in the emmisions or something like that. Same is said for any none factory exhaust sytem or really anything you change in emissions or intake, etc. This statement gets them around the EPA. All my Harley pipes say this. Aftermarket aircleaners and breathers for Harley's say this so I wouldn't really be too worried. No lights or buzzers or alarms came on since I installed it and I think its going to be a benifit in the long run. Check the thread on this site about it and it links to the super long thread on Tacoma World about it. Read and make up your mind if you want to try. Could be vodoo science but my seat of the pants dyno is liking the combo that I have right now. I'm not a scientist or engineer so I guess I just operate in the viseral world that tells my mind that these things are working to some degree. Happy reading.....

I don't think anybody knows right now but if I had to guess I would say that it will be back in the future because it seems to be a big success. They may call it something else(like they did with the Tacoma ie Baja/Pro) and add or subtract something in the trim but I'm sure they will offer something plenty cool.
