Roof racks.

What did you use to "texture coat" these?

What did you use to "texture coat" these?

Remove the roof racks. Slightly scuff with a very fine scotch Bright. One coat of matte black then apply this texture coat 2-3 layers. It's about $30 at any automotive paint store. Pricey but it's LEGIT.

Here's a pic of a door handle I did with the same stuff I used on my roof rack, to show the detail of the texture.

I thought I was done for the first mods I have done...... Not quite. The mod list never ends.
-Plastidip the rear emblems on the hatch
-Install TRD PRO emblem on the hatch
-Install LED license plate bulbs
-Interior LED bulbs
-Spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers

I was told they also have a video tutorial of installing all interior light bulbs too.

Word on the spacers, be prepared to cut your inner fender liner, lots of rubbing at full turn. Mostly in the front but I also took off the front splash guards

Im ready. Just waiting for a good price for a set of 4. I want to keep my splash guards on. Let's see how that works out.

After a long wait and much anticipation, my siren arrived last week. Anybody care to share their 2 cents on clear bra vs au-natural?

No clear bra. Pain in the ass to take off. And if a decent rock hits it. It looks worse than a normal chip touched up properly. I had a thread about it not too long ago.... Gotta find it.

BTW wheels look awesome cleaned up.

Anytime buddy. I plan on putting a basket on mine and bolting it down on the factory crossbar. Let me know if it holds up.

Looks solid bro! I have mine for like two months, just can not decide where on tailgate on want it.

Got the toytec 3/4" top plate spacer and 1.25" spidertrax installed yesterday. Couldn't be happier with how the truck looks now and all the factory TRD suspension is essentially unchanged. I may post pics later but I doubt they will really do it justice.

Any rubbing issues with the wheel spacers and the top plate spacer?

Hello everybody... Just picked up the TRD PRO last weekend. Figure I join the forums finally (long time lurker, traded in a 12 4runner SR5). Im up here in Fort Drum NY and thinking about doing a Ziebart undercoating, or some type of rustproofing to protect this expensive ride. Anybody had any experiences with rustproofing??? is it worth it?

mine came with the clear bra. I wouldn't pay extra for it, but it's there already. so left it on for now. there are some other clear bra threads here you can read...

Hey! I have an Inferno Pro an hour south in the Syracuse area. If your down this way hit me up and maybe we can wheel a bit.
Sorry, I don't have any info on the Ziebart though. I didn't do it to my rig and I'm not planning on it.
