We can do that... Are there any good trails down that side? Only time I head down there though is when I bring the family to the Mall... Ive been looking into the adirondack region to see if there are some trails I could hit

Honestly, not too many that I've found. I do know of a few and there's an area I plan on exploring more in the near future. I have been wanting to head up to the Adks to find some trails too. We are planning a trip south to the Rausch Creek Off Road Park the last weekend of June. That place looks pretty awesome. And there is an Overland Expo in Vermont I think sometime in Sept.

Me and the wife was looking to buy an offroad trailer and rooftop tent soon, were moving to FT Irwin California in august and was planning to take the fam on a cross country trip on the way.... Most likely having a long stay in colorado and utah, our own little overland trip hitting the trails there and do a lot of primitive camping.....But those trailers aren't so cheap, that overland expo would have been perfect if it was earlier in the year.....

Check out Moose River Plains in the adirondacks.... You won't have to use your rear lockers or anything like that, but it is a nice drive that goes hours into the forest.... Has a bunch of hikes and individual campgrounds, beautiful place you might be interested in.

No clear bra. Pain in the ass to take off. And if a decent rock hits it. It looks worse than a normal chip touched up properly. I had a thread about it not too long ago.... Gotta find it.

BTW wheels look awesome cleaned up.

XPEL Ultimate clear bras are self healing and do not give the orange peel look like most 3M clear bras do.... XPEL is probably the best option out there. Why would u ever want to take it off?

Hello everybody... Just picked up the TRD PRO last weekend. Figure I join the forums finally (long time lurker, traded in a 12 4runner SR5). Im up here in Fort Drum NY and thinking about doing a Ziebart undercoating, or some type of rustproofing to protect this expensive ride. Anybody had any experiences with rustproofing??? is it worth it?

By the way, which dealer did you find your pro from?

I had to drive to Rutland Vermont and pick it up at Aldermans Toyota.... I looked everywhere in NY, NJ, CT and every nearby state until I found they had one sitting for 2 weeks.... called them and told them Ill pick it up for MSRP(Have never in my life ever paid MSRP for another vehicle, this was the only exception), They said OK. Unfortunately they got me a little less then I wanted on my trade in, gave me 27500 for my 2012 4runner SR5, Nada and KBB had it around 28-29000, and that was after negotiating up from their original 24000 offer.... Where did you get yours at? Did you have as much as a hard time looking for one as me?

I referring that I work in a paint shop and they are a pain in the ass to remove If we gotta paint it.

After looking through some posts here and on exotic car forums, I'm torn between no bra or going with xpel full hood, quarter panels fender flairs.... basically the entire front end and pillars and mirrors. I hate the line that's visible on the hood so a full hood with tuck/wrap would be the way to go. Also, I'm in Denver so pebbles like to get some air time around here.

I tried installing super sliders last night but had a slight clearance issue on the front end. The end of the slider and plastic trim above mud flap were touching and there wasn't enough clearance on the front bracket to use the washers provided (let alone a socket). I'll trim the washers tonight but will still have to deal with the trim piece interfering with the slider. Also, the hole on the chassis that lines up with the bottom slot on the middle bracket is not threaded and is oversized for the bolts provided. Has anybody here experienced this? I couldn't find anything in my searches, but I see folks with the super sliders on their Trd pros.

I actually pre ordered mine through Romano Toyota in Syracuse. I ordered it back in August. It was built on Thanksgiving day and I picked it up 1 Jan 15.
Just over 6k on the odo so far and loving it!

You must have driven through Salida. My wife told me she saw a "CDOT" orange PRO. She loves the color. I have the only White one here.

Xpel clear bra with OptiCoat is the ultimate protection.

I have this on my AMG but didn't go for it on my TRDP. The films 3M or Xpel are really designed for highway driving debris usually picked up by sports cars sitting low to the ground. The cost for the film and installation would have cost more than $1000 and for a SUV that is an everyday driver and occasional trail excursions, IT didn't make any sense for me (your use case might be different just letting you know my take).

I have a white TRDP and the last vehicle I had Xpel on was white too and after a couple of years there was dirt starting to collect in the corners and the texture just didn't shine like new. It was also a pain to take off, took almost an entire day between the full hood, fenders, bumper and mirror. In 5 years it will still be cheaper to get the bumper and hood sprayed professionally and not have to deal with the film if you have that many chips.

I now embrace the dirt, mud and debris
