4runner TRD Pro

I love the color, but not on the 4Runner. The FJC TT broke it up with enough black accents. Same issue I have with the Quicksand, with block black to balance it out it looks nice, too much of the color and it can be overpowering.

but much like quicksand it's a great color for those who are too lazy to wash their vehicle all the time (like me) but want it to look clean.

$2,300 under MSRP is an excellent price to pay for a TRD Pro. I would jump on that deal before they change their mind.....what color u going with?

I wasn't even ready to talk price as we're waiting on an extended test drive of a 4x2 Limited that we're renting at the end of the month for a trip to NJ.

We didn't even negotiate. I just told them that I was a Veteran, a (major supplier to the automobile world) employee, and I had USAA TrueCar quote for another dealer. They went with the USAA TrueCar quote and honored it at $2300 off.

We're leaning heavily towards a Super White one. The only other color under consideration is Magnetic Gray Metallic...:puke:Quicksand is not even an option.

Hey All!

New to the TRD Pro family, but not to 5th gens. We traded in our 2011 SR5 (NFab Steps, Husky Liners front to back) for a 2016 MGM TRDP. We just took delivery this weekend and couldn't be any more satisfied. After a long search and actually accepting the fact that we wouldn't find or be able to obtain what we wanted, my wife and I were content with keeping the 2011. I stumbled upon one that was about 80 mi away from our place, immediately called and was able to place a deposit over the phone to hold the vehicle, which was surprising because all of the other calls I made ended with "oh, the vehicle was sold but we just left it up on the site to drive traffic." We then drove the 80 mi and completed the paperwork for the trade-in of the 2011 and finalize the sale of the TRDP. While we were in, the dealer phones were lighting up with folks as far as Arizona and Nevada who wanted to buy the car! So after placing the deposit the 2nd week of Feb, we took delivery this weekend. (We only had to wait 2 weeks!!) We actually got the TRDP right at MSRP with no added dealer mark-up and were satisfied with that (Shout out to Toyota 101 in Redwood City!) Here he is on delivery date:

Next to our 2011 SR5:

I took the NFabs off of the 2011 and put them on the TRDP as soon as we got home and they look right at home!

I look forward to learning a lot more from the forums and meet some of you all in person!

Congrats on the new TRD Pro! I am waiting for my MGM TRD Pro to come in. I appreciate the pics. There doesn't seem to be many out there and it's great to have a couple of new pics to look at.

Congrats on the new MGM TRD Pro! Keep the pictures coming so we can see the MGM in all it's glory for those of us considering it.

First post - Yay me. Also first 4runner. I had two FJ's, a 2007 and a 2010TT. I managed to land a TRD Pro Quicksand after a month long search. I got lucky and found a dealer 250 miles away that had just rolled one off the truck the day before. I immediately put a deposit on it. The dealer was making me a video about 15 minutes later where a lady lost her marbles because she saw it, the day before and said she would be by with her husband the next day to get it. She should have left a deposit. The video is hilarious.

Very happy 4runner owner. It now has 350 miles on the odometer.

Hello all, new to the forum.

Don't currently own a 4Runner but am looking at maybe purchasing one this year. I've ridden in a TRD Pro and fell in love, only thing missing to me is a sunroof.

That said, you current owners, is it worth getting an SR5 and doing suspension/wheels/tires or is it just worth going with the Pro? I wouldn't do many mods, I think the stock TRDP suspension is perfect. Plan is for road trips and some camping/light offroading for hiking and such.

Really I think the upcoming Cement grey is perfection. And I know a special package will hold its value a bit better if I ever sell.

I have had a sunroof in every car I have ever owned, except for my first. Got the Pro, and don't miss it at all. Just roll down the hatch window.

Anyone interested in buying my new 16 super white trd pro? Trying to buy another color. Doesn't even have its plate yet. 650 miles. Otherwise brand new.

Options:remote engine start, sliding cargo deck, exhaust tip, all weather floor mats, roof cross bars, door edge guards, and full frontal clear bra that was almost $1k. 3m premium film. Covers entire front bumper minus black unpainted areas, hood up 24", hood scoop, fenders, flares, headlights, fog lights, mirrors, door handles.

I will have the title once I pay it off from TFS. Located in Arizona. Private party so sales tax is all paid for. Please pm or email me at robertk480 at gmail dot com. I can help arrange shipping if necessary.

That would almost be my ideal setup! I wish I was 100% ready to buy, love the white.

Finally got one! Drove 10 hours to Kansas from Chicago Area. Ended up getting it for $1650 off MSRP $300 of which was because the dealer put the front plate holder on after I specifically asked them not to before I made the trip. It has the sliding rear deck, remote start, exhaust tip, trailer ball holder, and the rigid running boards. Halfway thru the 600 mile drive home and stopped to fill up. Just shy of a full tank doing 85-90 the whole way. Loving it so far.

Rigid running boards are going to come off as soon as I get home if anyone is interested.

Towing?

I am purchasing a R.Pod camper model 179. About 2600lbs. and 20' long. Has anyone towed similar? If so how does the TRD do? Maybe post your pics of larger loads.

Thanks
