4runner TRD Pro

I plan to pull an aluminum open car trailer (~1200lbs empty) with a 1998 BMW M3 Sedan on it (~3100lbs listed) often. I was going to load it all up this weekend and see how it looks so I can decide if I want the airlift rear bags or not.

Hey guys - new here and hoping to soon be an owner of a new TRDP in the near future - quick question though...

Has the cement color been confirmed as being available on the 2017 TRDP? I've contacted a local dealer who can't guarantee me that color being officially available - but just thought i'd check to see if anyone else has heard anything. Want to put a reservation on one as soon as possible as from what I've seen these things do not last very long on lots once they arrive.

This is off toyotas site for the Tacoma pro so if the colors are the same for the 4Runner then yes......Tacoma TRD Pro will be available in three exterior colors: Cement, Barcelona Red Metallic, and Super White

I am purchasing a R.Pod camper model 179. About 2600lbs. and 20' long. Has anyone towed similar? If so how does the TRD do? Maybe post your pics of larger loads.

I pull a 20 foot bpat about 3500 pounds dry. There is a thread with pictures in it. Does fine

Driven to Florida on stock springs.

I may put in a aitbag though, since I load up with cargo when going on long trips. I am looking at a set that is around $100 for the firestone type bags and you manually fill. I think it would level things out when hunkered down with two adults, two dogs, full of luggage for extended stays camping get, fishing gear etc and the boat. Though your mileage may vary.

The regular tire that comes on the truck when imported with steelies.
Plan on replacing mine with another regualt rim.

The trdp colors were all confirmed at the Chicago auto show... No need to reserve one... There's lots of pros in every color around all the sales region inventories that are not allocated. These aren't really limited production models, just another model to choose from.

Did anyone see the badges on the back of the 2017. Well, I couldn't stand it any longer, as everyone keeps asking what is "TURD PRO?" Now I just point to the back emblem instead of the one on the side.

That is exactly what I did and never regretted it one bit. Like the BFG's a ton more and I believe it's a much better tire.

i remember someone with an INFERNO did that last year on his own. To each his own, but i think its a little much.

Who knows, maybe someone from toyota saw it on this forum and liked it and had it slapped on the back gate of the 2016's.

i just think its a bit much and if i had a 2016 and not a 2015, i'd remove that badge.

Yep, surprised they added it. I'd pull it also. I always pull excess emblems from the back of cars. prefer a clean look
