Tire wear

Anyone else finding there tires are wearing horribly on their TRDP. I have 15,000 miles on mine and the tires are scalloping and seem to be into the last 1/4 of tread. I've had them rotated every 5000 (or so I thought)

I am around 36 psi. The tires are scalloping as well. They did replace the front suspension with the upgraded coil overs from blistin in order to correct the clunking (which it didn't). First one was done at 6000 miles. The other was just replaced last week.

At this rate I'll need to replace my tires at 20,000 miles. They are already scalloped so bad they will never be round again.

Not sure what type of tires you are running, but with my KO2's I keep the front at 46 and the rear at 44. BFG recommends 50. Not sure about Nittos, if that is what you have.

I have 25,000 miles on mine and they look new. Think that if your tires wear that fast, something is seriously wrong.

Sounds like they didn't do an alignment or didn't do it properly. They technically on the hook, or at the very least, pro-rated.

After upgrading the front suspension are they supposed to perform an alignment? Seems like that would be an obvious step to me but they didn't do it.

How it should of been. Proper small mod, blackout logo/lettering.

I have found that most off-road shops that install lifts do not have alignment machines, but should have recommended it to you. Scallops or cupping is usually due to bouncing. Lots of small cupping can be from under-inflation or wheel/tire balancing. Does your steering wheel shake or wobble? Larger cupping is usually suspension adjustment, steering linkage, bad ball joints, bad shocks, control arm issues. Since it is a new truck, and new components, my guess is it's a combination of under-inflation and alignment or something is not right with the suspension install. But one thing is for sure, the problem should be addressed right away. Good luck my friend!

Hey there TRD owners,
Any of you know the paint color or call out for the valance covers? Going to have mine painted black but want it the same color as the TRD Black Valance.
Thanks!

Should be. But if it wasn't on the RO, then it def wasn't. Just like when I bought a 19K mi CPO car and the tires were scalloped at 24K mi service, yet my roads are fresh and smooth. So an alignment should have been checked or done, but was obv never done.

I live on a long gravel road and I have a lot of wheeling trips on mine (Black Bear, Engineer, Imogene, etc. ROCK) and mine are wearing evenly but are not holding up to rock very well at all. I am careful to allow no wheel spin at all.
I will replace mine before winter. I am at 25k miles. 2015 Pro
