Were you able to check out the rear shocks? Did you notice any of the issues some have been describing with the shocks rubbing on the frame?

mine don't rub, and if they did all you have to do is loosen the mount holding the reservoir and and slide it down a bit am i wrong?

The jack is secured and tightened properly. It looks like the left rear reservoir is a little too close to the metal, imo. I have the dealership looking at it right now.
So so disappointing that many of us are dealing with this on brand new vehicles.

Same problem for me. Did the dealership discuss cutting the metal before doing it?I had this issue as well. I took it back to the dealership and they cut back the metal that was touching the reservoir. Noise is now completely gone.

It seems like loosening the bracket and moving the reservoir down makes more sense.

Totally agree with you. Unreal and I don't understand why it's only on the drivers side. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the problem seems predominant on pros that are in CA or came through CA ports. If someone has pros in other regions, please chime in. The thought of having to deal with this and cutting or bending the frame on a brand new vehicle is unacceptable in my opinion. First thing I'm doing is looking back there when I pick up my pro, hopefully this weekend.

I have a 2016 PRO and took delivery with both driver and passenger sides displaying this half moon cut out. I don't think it's that big of a deal. If your reservoir was impacting that piece then perhaps it wasn't trimmed enough at the port?

Your front bumper will be cut at port as well, so if you are unable to stomach that you should walk away now.

i love my 2017 don't get me wrong, it just seems slightly crazy that not only do they have to cut the front bumper on the pro, but now the rear frame? Couldn't they design the 31's to fit with resorting to redneck engineering(cutting with a sawzall)on a brand new truck?
It doesn't bother me, but we had an X5 with the 20" wheel and sport package, and BMW designed factory looking flares to accommodate everything and made it look like it was built that way. They didn't just throw the wheels and tires on and decide "Oh we need to cut here or there for clearance".
Like I said I don't care and I love my truck, and it saves me from cutting once I put the 285's on, but it still seems slightly funny receiving a brand new truck already cut up.

Whatever, I'm not gonna get into it....cause it'll get into some stupid argument like so why are you getting a 4runner then...don't know you it's supposed to be cut up and s*&t so you can put big tires and stuff...good grief!
Being new to purchasing a TRD, I didn't realize the changes were made at port. I thought it would come that way from the factory. It doesn't change my mind on purchasing the vehicle, just didn't know that until seeing it today on this site exactly how it worked. I too find it odd, but I didn't have the knowledge about TRD changes. I didn't know to ask the salesman and they didn't mention it. I figure they thought I knew since I was purchasing this particular vehicle. As long as it works when it gets here and doesn't look like a cobbled mess. So far the pictures I've seen look great! Hoping ours is the same.

Just double checked my truck (2017 Cement Pro) and can verify there are notches above the reservoir on both sides, and the front bumper is trimmed. They didn't do that great of a job on the trimming, but honestly you can't tell unless you're right up on it.
I would inspect those sections extra carefully when you pick it up. I did a full inspection with flashlight and all, but missed some rough trimming.

I want you to know my comment was not directed at you. While I understand bumper trimming and rear wheel well trimming isn't something you'd think would need to be done on new vehicle, I guarantee with great certainty that you will not take pause once you see true tangible affects of such-it's not a big deal. I know this vehicle is not cheap, but I assure you these minors imperfections will go unnoticed to all but you. You will dig the PRO.

Seems many of the prospective Pro buyers aren't really ready for a Pro, or have not done their research. So, those that do not want their new 4Runner "hacked up" at the port, should consider an SR5 or a Trail... errrr, TRD Off Road.
That way , when you want to add wheels that protrude 4mm more per side, and add more aggressive or larger tires, you can hack up your new rig on your own, instead of by guys that do this work all day...
