I want you to know my comment was not directed at you. While I understand bumper trimming and rear wheel well trimming isn't something you'd think would need to be done on new vehicle, I guarantee with great certainty that you will not take pause once you see true tangible affects of such-it's not a big deal. I know this vehicle is not cheap, but I assure you these minors imperfections will go unnoticed to all but you. You will dig the PRO.

I didn't take personal offense to your comments. It just seems that most didn't know this going into it. I very much am looking forward to setting my eyes on my TRDpro! In reading the thread, we have all been in anticipation for quite some time. A lot of anxious people! But it will be worth it!

Same problem for me. Did the dealership discuss cutting the metal before doing it?

It seems like loosening the bracket and moving the reservoir down makes more sense.

Update:

The left rear reservoir was the issue. They loosened the bracket and moved it down slightly.

My unsolicited advice for all of you waiting to pick your truck up: Inspect it the best you can before leaving the dealership.

I think they are trimming the bumper to fit the bigger tires.. I think that's what I read here.

Hard to get a pic that would show. It's a minor trim off the underside of the front. Not noticeable from any standing angle. I'll try and post a pic tonight.

Whatever, I'm not gonna get into it....cause it'll get into some stupid argument like so why are you getting a 4runner then...don't know you it's supposed to be cut up and s*&t so you can put big tires and stuff...good grief!

Here is the bumper trimming and the cutout (same on both sides).

My truck is totally fine, but again based on others experience, when you pick yours up make sure to take a flashlight and look these specific areas as well as the rest of your inspection. Just make sure they didn't do a hack job. If you can point it out on pickup you're likely to have a better result on fixing anything.

Hey I appreciate you meeting me halfway. Last thing I want to do is get into a pointless shouting/cursing match on this forum. And as a newbie, I appreciate this forum more than I can put into words.

Going into purchasing the PRO, I did extensive research and looked up as much as I could. I knew there was cutting involved with the PRO to accommodate the wheel/tire combo but yeah, unaware for the rear shocks. Well now I know and I'm still ok with it. Personally for me, it was the cement color more than anything. I'm willing to live with the minor modifications. Staying positive...thank you all!

Interesting, I had no idea these things were done at the port. It doesn't bother me at all and never ran across that in my research. Here are some pic's of mine. I'm assuming it came into a Texas Port. Looks like someone knew what they were doing.

Oh and I got my overlays installed today. I highly recommend these. Super easy to install.

Hopefully at the port the TR D Toyota build teams triple check these vehicles before they ship to dealers. They work for and represent Toyota? I picture guys in really cool Toyota TR D shirts.
Hopefully the issue with the shocks rubbing the frame is just isolated and has been resolved.

The dealers are the ones who should be inspecting these vehicles.
Maybe send the mechanic a checklist of what to look for on a TR D pro inspection. Duh!

The dealers are making a killing on these vehicles so why should a customer have to review and inspect the work done by Toyota?

We pay a delivery and prep fee for the vehicle.

Same here! I was sold on the cement since I had a 13 TT FJ in the same color.....then I saw a pic on this forum of the BRM and flipped my 1st choice. I now own a 17 red TRDP and can't wait for it to get here. Thanks for the pics further validating my color change.

The market for the Pro near me is straight up comedy! I have talked to four dealers in the last week that will be asking a 10k premium!?!?! One dealer told me they have a verbal commitment of 8k over msrp.

I left the state and have a deposit on a Cement. All I was told it may take a very long time. Which it probably will... I have seen a Cement on PCH in Malibu with the same dealers plate.
