4runner TRD Pro

So dealer contacted me and said my cement would on the vessel on the 20th and at port on the 6th of march. Pretty excited. I do a have question is something special in the vin that shows it's a Trd pro. When they emailed me today they said they accidentally sent me the wrong vin. Just curious?

I don't believe so.

When are they getting delivered to the lot?

Both our unspoken for White and Cement hit the lot end of Feb, Early March. From what I can see, they're already in transit to our store. I have vehicle spec sheets on both at the office and will be in tomorrow.

^This! Put my deposit on a white one in November and even in February my dealer couldn't provide me anything. No allocation, no VIN, no estimated date nothing. Found one on my own.

I too would recommend this route as my original dealer could not get an allocation and came to the realization they may not get one at all. Talked to a dozen other dealers that couldn't get them either I ended up going with a big, high volume dealer who had multiple allocations for each model Pro (Taco, Tundra and T4R).

Interesting thing is the dealer I am getting it through is probably the smallest Toyota dealer I have contacted.. I asked them how this whole ordering thing works. She said they didn't even order any. Just showed up in the pipeline. As long I get one, I could careless how it gets allocated lol. This whole things is nuts

Incoming!

All,
Just checked the Souteast Toyota site. There will be a flood of +50 of all 3 colors coming in during the next 1-2 months, just in case you were having availability/allocation problems and are cool with the out of state purchase. That being said search around, because a good number of the Florida dealers I contacted originally are upcharging a hefty amount.

Trd pro

Got mine from a dealer in Atlanta at 500 under MSRP. Cant imagine why dealers would charge $$$$ way over MSRP when you can just go to another dealer that sells for or under the MSRP. Guess that's why they are not high volume dealers.

You can get $500 off MSRP using the Toyota military discount.

But I find it hard to believe any dealers are selling below MSRP on a 2017 TRDP because the demand for these vehicles is just ridiculous.

This makes paying MSRP much easier for me. Because we all are.

I am retired Army and I had asked about the USAA discount and they said NO. So I had a few days before the truck arrived and I just kept working on them and they gave me $500 off the MSRP.
I have heard that a few dealers (not sure where) have sold them for $500 under. Mike

But if you lease or finance it, you're sales tax is included in the monthly payment. What's illegal about it?
I'm thinking he probably meant they weren't willing to change the sales tax from what their local tax rate is to whatever his rate is....this I can understand.

The Nevada dealership I just bought from just adjusted the sales tax to my county's and it'll be paid every month with the payment.

I just know that if I bring a vehicle from any other state into Arkansas, that I will owe taxes on it as soon as I tag it in Arkansas. A dealer in Texas told me I would have to pay taxes in Texas as well... Double taxation on a vehicle? ummmm, no... Once, I told him that he needed to double check that, he found out that I was correct. Had I not told him that I'm sure he gladly would have taken my money... and I would have been SOL when I got back to Arkansas.

Arkansas dmv doesn't recalculate?

California, you just pay the difference.

Every dealer in the Great Metro Atlanta area told me one of two things...pay sticker or pay sticker +$2500.

Since that was not happening in this lifetime I went to dealers out of state and ended up finding one that would do $2000 off MSRP.

It was a lot of work but definitely worth the savings for me.

Yeah the utah dealers are pretty asking between 2500 and 5k over msrp. They tried to tell me that is a steal because people are coming for CA to purchase there because the mark up is 10k in CA.

Don't let them fool you.

Plenty of places selling for MSRP everywhere - even possible for CA folk to get well below sticker if they looked hard enough.

really? Please let me know which dealers will sell below msrp.

I've probably contacted 50+ dealers in CA. Only three told me they sell for msrp... everyone else was 2k-10k over.

Off the top of my head even - Cabe in Long Beach, Carson in Carson, Longo in El Monte will sell at MSRP all day, every day.

Freeman up in Northern CA sells below.

Check the 'what did you pay' thread, plenty of answers there. Good luck!
