4runner TRD Pro

Congrats to everyone who received their new TRD pro and thanks for all the posts and pics, it really helps those of us eagerly awaiting our new TRDP. My question is on the color Cement. The color I really fell in love with was the Quicksand but never had an opportunity at the time to grab one. Now that I am waiting on my Cement TRDP, for you new owners - Does the color really stand out ? Seeing the Cement TRDP in person, did that change your initial impression from seeing the many pictures online.

I have an opportunity to switch to a White TRDP and its a safe color but not having seen a Cement in person makes it a tough decision. Hence the question. I know to each his/her own but would really love to hear your thoughts. For now, we live vicariously through you :)

It stands out a lot. Pictures don't really do it justice IMO. I ordered a white Pro because I wasn't sold on the Cement Color and I really like white vehicles. Well my dealer didn't come through and the opportunity to buy a Cement presented itself. Once I pulled into the dealership and saw it in person it was love at first sight lol. Oh and I've already caught multiple people breaking their necks as they drive by me.

placed an order saturday for a cement trd pro and put down my deposit. anyone have an idea of when i can expect confirmation that it will be built? i dont want to bug them constantly but i also dont want to sit around forever waiting only to find out i should have found one on a lot somewhere. i can wait as long as it takes if i know for sure my pro will be built!

I have white and like it a lot, but part of me wishes I had an exclusive colour like cement or inferno. Stands out from the crowd, like the "S" specific blue colour I have on my Audi S4.

I like that the cement has a bit of meanness to it...kind of like battleship grey.

Enjoy!

Hard to say. What did the dealer tell you?

they said don't worry you'll get one, be patient. said it could be 2-6 months which i'm fine with. i'm sure its going to be closer to 6 months but i dont want to find out in 5 months that they wont get an allocation for me and i'm in a bad spot unable to locate another one. i was just hoping to find out if there's an expected amount of time between placing the order at the dealership with a deposit and getting a confirmation that it will be built.

New to the 4runner family, traded in my 2015 Tacoma for a beautiful 2017 TRD pro 4runner! I had been on the waiting list since last September patiently waiting for the first 2017 @ my local dealership! Glad I did it then because the manager told me there were 7 people with deposits behind me when I picked mine up!

I would check out other dealers while you are waiting. Some dealers out there are still getting vehicles and they have not been claimed yet.

^This! Put my deposit on a white one in November and even in February my dealer couldn't provide me anything. No allocation, no VIN, no estimated date nothing. Found one on my own.

My experience is that I called the dealer and they were able to tell me they had an allocation of 1, now they have 2 (not sure if second one is taken). So I was able to place an order for their allocation. I waited about 3 weeks and inquired, was told it should be being built this week. I didn't press for a VIN at that time. I did later ask if they had a VIN and was given my VIN. It was only then that I felt like it was real and took comfort that I truly had one on the way. I placed my order Dec 23, but I don't think the dealer placed the order until January 3rd. I'd say I got my VIN somewhere around end of January, but they probably had it sooner, I just hadn't asked until I saw on this thread that they should be able to provide it for you. Mine is set to arrive on Thursday to the dealer, so it took about 7 weeks from the time I called. I know it can be hard to wait, the wait is painful. As to if you should look elsewhere: Did they say they have an allocation? Did they say if it was available? Did they say you were X number in line for the allocation? If they are waiting to hear if they get an allocation or their allocation is spoken for already and they are waiting to hear if they get another one later in the year it might be a long wait and you'd be best to search around as the other suggested. If they told you that you are first in line and they have been allocated, be patient. Ultimately it is up to you and how much you trust your dealer. Hope this helps and best Wishes.

I saw it in person a month ago when one came into the local dealer but it was sold. It looks a bit darker to me than how the pics do, but I loved.

:) Did you get yours at 5 Star as well or Olympia? Pretty much local either way. That is awesome you were able to get one too! Mine will be Cement. Maybe I'll see you on the road some time.

I got mine at Toyota of Olympia, I've gotten multiple vehicles from them and one of my childhood friends is my salesman. I went back and forth over the cement and settled on white. So if you see a white pro with Seahawks plates that'll be me and if I see a cement I'll be sure to honk haha
