4runner TRD Pro

I actually like both blues, I see the Cavalry Blue as classier and the Voodoo as more in your face. Funny thing is the Cav looks way better in person than in pics IMO. Wondering if the Fox Suspension will be better than the previous Bilstein sourced Pro Suspension.......

It gets filtered too much in pictures and it makes it brighter. I like that is a low key almost flat look In person. ITs a great color.

There are a few in dealer inventories right now in the state. In fact when we were looking a few weeks back, it was the most common color Pro we came across that was available for sale. I think the color is cool but there's no way I could live with it and my other half absolutely hates it, she calls it Papa Smurf Blue.

As of last week there were at least two in Houston and two in San Antonio, I have no idea how many were available in the DFW area, but I know there were some up that way as well. We found a black one and took it home for a good deal and momma is happy so all is well that ends well. Good luck in your search.
Thanks. I picked one up in Dallas on Friday, and am super happy with it. Now for mods... [emoji16]

I can help you make it work.

Actually that's a 2.25/2 kit we did on 285's. Can do that too now.

5th gen lift & leveling kits at Burtman Industries, ON SALE!

And what's the diff between Cavalry Blue vs Voodoo

Google might help you out with the difference in blue. You really need to see them in person because everybody’s camera is set up differently. Look for an old FJ Cruiser. Voodoo is more saturated and bright. Cavalry is more flat and “normal.” Both colors were available on the FJ, along with a Heritage Blue which was a little lighter than Cavalry... Of the 3, I think Cavalry is the one I prefer.

I see a difference in color in all the pictures I take of my cavalry TRDP. It all depends on how the light is hitting it, what shade there is, and how dusty she is. That's before I decide to use a filter or not. You can easily make them purple, gray, or voodoo blue in instagram depending on the filter you choose.

My wife said we should wait for a voodoo '19 until she saw a cavalry tundra on the lot.

Trading Up.

About to trade in my 2014 Trail edition thats got 82000 miles on it. Was in the dealership for an oil change and they offered me $21000 which I thought wasn't bad for a 5 year old car with that many miles(is that a decent offer?). I took a job far from home and put more miles than anticipated in the past 4 years so I was thinking of getting a similar TRD Off road but the fact I can't even get a reasonable offer on a TRD pro is making me believe they might hold more value as previous threads suggest. Happened to be in NY and they had one close by at the dealer listed in the inventory. I really liked how it looked, the sales person said she sold it yesterday. Turns out it was ordered specifically for a customer and straight to my face they said with a $5000 deposit they could get me one for $5000 over MSRP if I was ok with that. WOW.

If you can't get it for MSRP, then don't do it. Not many get them for less than MSRP, but they can be had for MSRP.

Anyone here lift their PRO and want to sell their stock suspension? That or are you looking to lift it and interested in trading your stock suspension plus cash for my ToyTec Ultimate kit?

There's a Voodoo blue in Sunnyvale CA asking 55,749. Ridiculous...

I love that color, but these prices are getting CRAZY! And the 2019's are even MORE! But, I will say it looks good lifted.

I purchased and installed the 2/1 leveling kit from https://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoomprod.php?id=4run_03_up_liftkit.

I was able to perform a self install in my garage with ease. The first thing I did after install was to take a test drive and check the ride quality. Honestly, I am not able to tell any difference from the stock ride. Very glad I chose the 2/1 and super pleased with the install and ride.

That's the plus with this kit! It rides incredible, not rougher like some can be. Kits are on sale as we speak:

To keep it relevant, the pic below is 2.25/2 on a TRD pro. Again, just so you guys know, can make any custom size you want too :)

Crunch Time.

My dealer says that there are only two Calvary blue TRD Pro's in the state of Florida and trading for one will be difficult. Debating on a TRD Off Road to modify but I really dig that Blue, prefer not to modify. Cars.com says there are 43 in the Nation, Non of which are within 600 miles of me! LOL. He stated that he will ask the dealership owners to call in a favor, its a long shot for sure but I think I'd pass on the 2019, don't need a sunroof, never use them nor that roof rack as its way to difficult to secure level surf and paddleboards to them, tried that with my buddy's FJ back in the day. Lets see what happens.

Don't know if anyone is looking but there is a 2016 Quicksand TRD Pro that has been on the lot now for a couple months at Handy Toyota in St Albans Vermont. Price is 38k, has high(er) miles for a 16 (44k). Price has dropped a couple times since it's been there when I was shopping for a TRD ORP

Thanks for the post, emailed them with some questions. If I can talk them down enough I may have to scoop it up.

$45,000 decision should not be predicated on 600 miles.

We've had our 2018 Black Pro for about a month now. So far we've put a 1.5/1" kit on, 275 KO2's, Baja Designs Squadrons in the fog pockets, powder coated the factory roof rack side rails black, ditched the factory running boards/steps, blackout overlays on the rear badges, and picked up a full length Prinsu rack (still not installed). I am pretty happy with how it looks so far. We still need to get some sliders, a hidden winch setup and a 40" light for the rack.

I'm liking what I see. It's gonna look great when ur done. Black powder coated roof rails and the black overlays should be standard from the factory....two short money mods that really make these trucks pop!
