4Runner updates for 2005

ANybody know of any major updates on the 4Runner for 2005? Lets just say I'm convincing my gf to trade her Land Rover in next year.

This is just rumor from a salesman I was talking too, but I heard that the hp may be bumped up to 270 or something like that on the V8.

Yeah I heard that the V8 was going to get VVT-i, just like the V6. That will bump it to almost 300hp. Maybe the V6 will get the 5spd tranny, so I hear.
I'm sure there will be some minor options changes...maybe wheel style and front grille to go along with the pumped up engine.

Hmmm, I don't think it'll get anything drastic. Most manufactures don't change too much during the models life cycle. When the 4Runner comes time to redesign is when they make the most changes.

I guess I'll have to wait and see then, but I've heard thatthe V8 will get HP jump and some updates and the V6 will get 5 speed auto. Unfortunately I have not been able to get any firm info apart from rumors on forums. Now some people say something will happen and some say not. Oh well!
