This has a bunch of aftermarket front bumpers. Not sure if you are thinking new bumper or just a bull bar....

I am in Centeal NJ. It was hit in Colts Neck. I wish more people would hunt around my area! I didn't take the deer but it was gone the next morning. Would have made for a nice trophy.
As for insurance, we have a high deductible. After everything, it wouldn't be worth it. They can raise the rates as well! And the shop is using new OEM parts.
My next big question is: which bar do I replace the plastic Toyota bar with? What do you recommend? Let's see some pics!
Thanks for all the responses!
I regret to hear that you are not filing a claim for your car insurance for fear of premium increase. I live in NW NJ, and I have NJ Manufacturer's (NJM) insurance, and they are one of the best companies for insurance, and I don't think they would increase my premium if I filed a similar claim... (I have been with them for 12+ years).
I am glad everyone in the 4runner was safe. The only comment I have as an educational feedback to everyone is that if a deer (or similar animal) gets in your way -- it is always better to me, to hit it head on like you did than to over-react in attempt to avoid the animal, and ended up -- driving into a ditch, hit a guard rail, or god forbid, hitting a tree. I would hit the brake as much as I could.... The insurance company cannot ding people for running into a deer, but they can designate a driver at fault for not being IN CONTROL driving off road, especially if the deer happen to run away if you happen to avoid it, and there was no proof a deer was in danger. My comment wouldn't apply if it was a Moose (or a big Black bear) ... but there are no moose in NJ.
Before you think I don't care for wildlife, I have a 2 acre yard, and this summer, a Doe and a fawn taken up camp on my yard. They have crossed the street a few times which happened to be a 2-lane highway with speed limit around 45mph. The fawn tried to cross the street one time, luckily a car saw it from a few hundred feet away and slowed and stopped for it to cross.. it then got on my yard, and then many cars slowed to about 5 MPH rolling by for about 2 minutes watching it as it ran back and forth on my front yard looking for its mom. Another time it almost gave me heartburn....
Drive safely everyone.

I am not filing a claim. It is not worth getting involved with the insurance company for something like this. With that damage, it could have been a blonde chick! Actually, the deer was a full size buck. Here is another pic from the collision shop- support bar just missed taking out the radiator!!

Hey guys,
Unfortunately, my truck is in the body shopWas out for a drive yesterday night on a main highway when a huge deer with antlers darts into the road. We must have been going 45mph when this happened. IMO, my 4Runner held up like a tank. We were able to drive the truck back home around 3 miles without any issue. No lights went on and no funny noises occurred. The deer wasn't as lucky- I don't think he is going anywhere for awhile. This morning, I was kind of nervous to drive it to the shop because I wasn't sure if the radiator was damaged. The collision shop said the support bar missed the radiator by 2 inches. The damage occurred to the bumper, hood, and headlight casings. They gave an estimate of 4k. Could you guys please chime in and tell me if I am getting taken for a ride? Here are some pics:
