4Runner Went Bat$#!t Crazy - Need Advice

Holy shite that's freaky. Hope it was just that loose connection. I need to start thinking about rodent remediation as there is a greenbelt behind my house

I was comfortably asleep until I was awakened at 1AM by my trucks horn (alarm) going off. I went into the garage and could not get it to turn off or unlock (electronically).

I then opened the door with the key and tried to start it, made a similar noise as to if it was already running. Would not start. The horn stopped but every single light was going crazy, I mean every light.

I went and grabbed my phone and videoed it, the horn starts back up again at the towards the end. I then popped the hood and disconnected the battery.

Do I just need to replace my 2 year (!) old battery or take to the dealer? Temp last night was around 45 degrees. Thanks!

WTF ! If I was alone drunk and asleep and that $hit woke me up.... I would have freaked out ! Pull out the taser 12 gauge Louisville Slugger etc. etc. etc lol

I actually took my switch out and gave it to someone on here, figured if I hadn't used it in 4 years I didn't need it.

Alarms and other systems tend to get freaky when battery is dead/dying or poor connection. Had that happen on my Isuzu Trooper once.

Funny. I left out some details. You are not that far off. I tried to get it to stop from inside. Tried all 3 cars, did not know which one it was. Was not opening the door to the garage "empty" handed.
