The 255/85's lowered my freeway RPM's significantly. In 5th gear I'm at 2500 rpm doing 70 mph. Works great.

ADS Update
So there was some error in the building of the shocks.
The length from the top hat to the center of the eye-mount measures in at 21.25" on mine.
According to ADS, it should be 19.837”. That's 1.4" of difference, which should be enough to make it fit. Also, according to ADS, the shock body itself with a coil on it nets 5.087” of travel.

So what're they saying, you have the wrong shock but just go with it?
Also I would make sure you get limit straps sooner than later since you can get 2 for $40, you don't want the shock bottoming out if it happens often (though obviously you know this!). Pretty sure that's how my 5100 got ripped in half is from going to full droop too often and the shock being the limiter.

That sucks, at least they're fixing it! Does this explain the shorter than expected build time? Like they incorrectly measured a shock and thought it was the right one sitting on the shelf and sent it out? Do you still have to wait another 2 weeks?

No idea, it shouldn't be a 2 week build time this time, but it's still a pretty shitty situation. Instead of calling me directly, they just send emails... It's a very slow process. I have a guy waiting to buy my Toytec's and originally he was gonna get them last Friday, but now he won't even have them this Friday.

These coilovers are insane. All the huge stuff is smooth as pavement now. The back though, the back needs some work haha.
New Tires should be installed in about a month.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your thread. Always neat to see a build with a story to it, very few threads on here have that. All of your recent pages sure are exciting stuff! I am really looking forward to see what you have in store for this.
BTW.. I am absolutely loving this bumper. I already really liked the Savage bumper and I did not realize Savage did swing outs, and the 1/2 swing outs are my favorite! Think Ill get this one eventually after seeing it here.
PS, I may have some questions for you in the near future regarding your respray (through PM). I have already taken a few notes from the threads where you discussed it. Its for my S4, not the 4runner.

When I picked up mine earlier this year, the only reason they took it off their website was because they had an issue with the manufacture of the latch. Redesigning the tire carrier is in the works, but that's later down the line. I believe he's currently working on skids for 4th gen 4Runner's.

Interestingly enough the latch is probably my least favorite part of the swing out. It is easy to use but mine tends to rattle some. I bet he comes up with something good though, the bumper and skids I got from him have been top notch stuff. I have been really considering getting his new front hybrid if for no other reason than the quality of his stuff.

Haha I'm currently rocking every piece of armor they sell and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. Roy is a great guy and their products are simply the best. Absolutely have never had any trouble with Savage at all and I love recommending their stuff.
