I landed my runner pretty hard today in Anza-B. Didn't quite turn out as nice as your experience. I will be adding details to my thread eventually but what basically happened is I hit a medium jump at about 20 MPH, really should have not been a big deal, very minor air, BUT then I hit the second hidden bump, also medium sized. I basically nose dived into but it wasn't steep enough (hence why I didn't see it) so that I hit the bumper, no instead I bottomed out the front end (all seems well with suspension and engine mounts) and slammed my front aluminium skid plate into the mount of dirt. The skid now looks collapsed inward, bowed in. Total fail of the skid although it did obviously absorb some of the shock force.
I'm going to need a new skid eventually it won't be aluminum next time.
Moral of the story: be careful on the jumps.

What the camera doesn't show is that as soon as I land I have to slam on the brakes because there is a 10 foot dirt wall in front of the truck. So I couldn't get enough speed going the other way.
I did that jump in 2WD high with the diff locked and was fighting to keep it in a straight line.

Also have a job interview this week. Hopefully I get the job and give the 4Runner some love.

I have a job. Time to give some 4Runner some much needed love.
Things in the next couple months (in order):
-Sliders, Savage off-road sliders installed should be about $350
-255/85/16 KM2's should be about $1000
-SCS F-5's in Bronze or Matte Black is about $620
Then in the Fall
-New Suspension
-Probably more maintenance

Congrats on the job Connor. Your parents must be happy knowing they won't have to pay for the next head gasket repair.

I think projector's are sick, but I honestly never drive in the dark. I don't even have LED's on the inside. Every time I drive my truck it's during the day. Currently, it doesn't make since for me to spend $400 for something I use once a month. I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

It might be my battery. It's like a 2 month old Costco battery. Here's my reasoning:
It only does it in the morning, or when it's cold. By "it" I mean it took three turns of the key to start it. The first time the engine would crank and then slow down and stop. The second time it would do the same thing. The third time it would crank for a while and then start.
In the morning, when it's cold, a battery has less energy then when it is hot, in the afternoon. I went to start it this afternoon when it was 90 degrees outside and it started right up.
IDK. I have SoCal ToyotaFest tomorrow too.

I would think that a light color (chrome) would help accentuate your new tires when you get them. Like Fightman 80's Pro Comp summer wheels for example.
But then again, being an East Coast junkie, I'd don't know what is trending out there in SD...

Once I get the cash for wheels I'll probably create a thread with a poll and let you guys decide. I'm 50/50 right now.
