The parentals must have been thrilled. Well, that just stinks.

Should have gone to visit the gf again.

I have gotten three twice before. The one for jaywalking though in Florida was the worst.

Have fun in court.

They just laughed at me. The laws in Arizona for tickets are ALOT better then California. After doing traffic school I'll walk out of this $400 in the hole for both tickets.

$400 for two citations, even with traffic school? Ouch! Sorry to hear about this ordeal..

Yepp. I paid the fine for the stop sign, and then paid for traffic school and the total was like $400. It blows, but life goes on, it was clearly my fault haha so no one to blame but myself.

Wow, that sucks!
A few years ago I was cruising on my way to Monument Valley Az with the Wife and kids, everyone was excited and chattering away plus, I had cruise control set to 50 or 60. It was late Summer, hot and straight as an arrow with not a car in sight. In the distance I saw a small building or shed and didn't think anything of it. As I passed the shed, the kids informed me a Police car just pulled out, from behind the shed, and put his lights on! After I stopped, the officer strode up and started to tear me a new a$$!! As the hot air subsided, I asked him what I did wrong! My Wife was now pissed, as she was upset by his language and attitude, as we had kids in the car! He stopped, looked at my Wife's expression, looked at the shocked expressions on the kids faces and calmly explained I'd sped through a 30 zone, as apparently there was a crosswalk adjacent to the shed..... in the middle of the desert! Then he looked at my license and showed his exasperation in seeing I had a Canadian Drivers' License (at that time, Az had no way of enforcing tickets cross border). He quickly wrote me the minimum ticket and walked away, without a word (probably thinking he just wasted his time). I did pay the ticket, as we holiday in the USA frequently.... After that, I learned to be somewhat more vigilant behind the wheel, while on vacation....

As long as your insurance premiums don't go up, you should be just lighter in the wallet then.

How much did that battery set you back? Which group is it?

I was in Phoenix a few years ago for a wedding and I got a speeding ticket for going 65 in a 60 construction zone. The ticket was taken with a camera on a post and mailed to me in California. Paying the ticket was cheaper than going back to do anything about it.

On a side note, did you ever change your mind about vinyl wrap?

Battery was $260 with tax. I believe it's a group 34.

I still want to vinyl wrap. But i haven't decided what I'm gonna do with the truck right now. There are other things I'd like to do first. I really am considering turning this truck into a long travel build. And buying a motorcycle in the summer as my daily. Then once I get out of college I pick up an older Toyota with a solid front axle to be my crawler.
Ideally-
SAS 1st gen crawler
Long Travel my 3rd gen
2nd gen Expedition/ Daily Tacoma

But we all have dreams right? haha

These have been my exact thoughts lately. It really is a hard choice haha.

I don't think I'm personally capable of building a link set up myself. Leafs I could manage. And I don't want to beat on my beautiful 3rd gen body anymore.

Logic got the best of me on this one.

I definitely know the feeling. I just feel like if i'm going to SAS, might as well just link it.

First gen pickups are badass though. my buddy has a bobbed, caged, dovetailed first gen pickup. Thing is a beast.

Still shooting with the D90? What lens is that? It looks super super wide.

I'm thinking of getting the 10-24 Nikon lens but its a bit outside my play budget right now.
