Method 701's also look interesting from a design standpoint. They haven't really been out long enough to get usable feedback as to how they really work keeping a bead a low pressure.

I have a set of Method 105's at the house for racetruck. Not sure I want them on my truck. Trail Ready's are nice, but $400 a corner blows. Never popped a bead, not sure I want to dive in to that rabbit hole. I wish I could have stayed with 16's and run those LC80 wheels. I miss those

I've never popped a bead either. I don't really need bead locks but I do want them. I also really like the concept behind the Method 701's. I talked to Method last week about getting them made in a 3.5" BS and they said maybe within a year if the line does well. At this point I'm pretty set on my next set of rims being 3.5" BS. That should get rid of frame rub at lock. Or I'll remove the spacers and still have the frame rub. It's good to have options. lol

That's interesting, I didn't know that the ownership changed, I'll have to give the other forum a look.
I love the wheel paint combo on your truck, and your trucks one of the main builds that inspired me to get a 4Runner for my first car a year and a half ago. How's the GTI treating you, and do you have any mods planned for it? I've always liked the styling of the Golf, though I don't know anything about the Volkswagon world haha.

Wheels are a hard one. Sometimes the price makes them an easy "NO"! It's easy to put my build first many times because I don't have any checks and balances, but just my own guilt to keep me in check. But still.. some choices just seem like an excessive waste. I would have a hard time choking down anything much over $250 a corner. Those wheels are for other people. There are many tasty choices out there.
I would be happy going one of two directions. I would either get a classic timeless design like the Pro Comp 7069s. Not very expensive and easy to replace should they get thrashed. Or, I would go for something a bit more sexy. [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION] has some great looking FN's. I might be half tempted to get something with brolocks simply to keep damage to the fatlip vs. the rim of the wheel, but I don't think that would be the basis of my decision.
For me, it all really comes down to what spec I want. There are only a handful of wheels that come in a 3.5" BS. That's what I wanted, and that's what I got. Your build makes those Methods look pretty sweet though.

Working on welding the LT kit for racetruck. Version 2 of this LT kit will be on my truck at some point this year. Probably going to link the rear first though.

There's nothing like going out and watching your tracks get covered. Last year I headed out to a well known trial in a blizzard warning. You go from 6000' to almost 10000' in about 7 miles. At 6000' there was 6" of fresh powder, at 7000' there was 12" of fresh powder, at 8000 feet there was 16" of fresh powder. At 9000' I turned around because it was getting really bad. On the way out, less then 2 hours later, all my tracks where filled in already. It was a blast.
