So I finally bought a 4runner less than a month ago, and promptly got on here to do some research. Haven't done too much yet, but couldn't wait to post some photos from today...it got lifted! Sorry for the crap garage photos, I'll take more once it gets its alignment this afternoon.

Went with a ToyTec BOSS lift, UCA's, Spidertrax 1.25" spacers, stock TE wheels, and Toyo Open Country RT's. Added the TRDPro grille last weekend. Thought I'd give the Toyo's a shot...I was going to go with Duratrac's, but seems like everyone has them. I'll be happy to give anyone my thoughts on the Toyo RT's once I get some miles on them.

OPOR sliders are at the powdercoater and I should be able to slap them on next week.

Just curious on how you are liking the Toyo Open Country RT's so far (ride, noise level..)? Notice any decrease in gas mileage? I'm in Colorado as well and am looking to get my 4runner lifted. Where did you get yours done at? Thanks.

Toyo RT's are doing pretty good here in CO. Other than being heavy, they are wearing well, easy to balance, and I haven't gotten too squirrely on I-70 in snow. I don't treat it like its an awd drive vehicle though.

I hope to be able to get it out on more trails this summer, but the last trip it handled fine. Clears snow and mud pretty nicely. Its also fairly quiet compared to some other MT's, but that's to be expected as its the "in-between" tire between the Toyo OC AT's and MT's.

They are pricey though, but so far I'm happy with them. We'll see if I get 40k miles out of them!

I'm also wondering how those toyo' ride n ur reviews

Realized I haven't updated this in a while...not really much to add that you can see (LED lights inside, breather mod). Here's a couple pictures of the AVS Aeroskin...seems to be holding up alright and doing its job. Also, the rock rails are MetalTech OPOR's with bumpout.

I'll do a better job posting updates of the Hefty Fab front and rear bumpers.

Sure...I went to RSG Auto on West Colfax, in Lakewood, right next to the Discount Tire. I went there because of a recommendation from another forum member here. Turns out my 2015 TE was their 4th brand new T4R that they had installed a Toytec lift on within just a couple months (back in April 2015).

They are great to work with, and one of their technicians has done all the T4r installs...he just loves to do them and I think he's got experience. When I stopped by a week after for them to have a look over it after everything settled, there was another brand new T4r sitting there waiting for a lift install.

At the time, I also ordered my Toyo RT's (they are dealers)...so the install was probably around $600-700 if I remember correctly. They are Toytec (BOSS lift around $1300, depending on which UCAs you go with) dealers as well (and Fox), and can get the SpiderTrax as well (which are also local to CO).
Everything was done in less than one day...including alignment, which they do themselves. I would not hesitate to go back, and I recommend them without any cons.

Ok ok, I know this isn't exactly part of the "build" of my T4R, but it is related....and it has matching Trail wheels! Paid for my Hiker Trailer (Denver) today...I'll take it home for good in a couple weeks. Its got 285/70/17's to be interchangeable with my 4Runner, and the spare for both the trailer and truck will be coming once I pick up my rear bumper w/ tire carrier.

Anyways, got big plans for this "teardrop"! Its fairly bare-bones right now, which is how I wanted it. I'll add solar, a 31 agm battery, and other items as needed. Probably add some wheel spaces to it as well.

Did you need to do any trimming with the 1.25" SpiderTrax installed? And would you say there is a notable difference having them?

Need to...hmmm...not really, probably could have done enough with the inner liner mod/relocation. However, the front lower portion plastic behind the front bumper was trimmed. I haven't done the bmc yet, but will this winter. They have worked great, gave me a wider stance with the stock rims, and I've checked them every time I've swapped tires and they are snug.
