2003 4runner Limited with JBL Synthesis 10 speaker system.
Replacing rear sub, and front doors with components. Adding 4 channel amp to run as 3 channels (channel A to front doors, channel B bridged to Sub). Keeping old amp to run all other speakers (rear doors, center, rear tweets).
I decided the easiest way for me to get a signal to the new amplifier was to splice into the R and L channels of the radio BEFORE the amp (I located these wires in the passenger kickpanel). I've been following the wiring diagram, which shows there are just two channels coming out of the stock radio. These wires run along the passenger kick panel in a shielded surrounding and are colored as followed (based on the wiring diagram):
R(neg) White
R(pos) Black
L(neg) green
L(pos) Red
Also a ground wire as well in the shield wrap
Since my amp is 4 channels, I ran the left and right channel to both the A and B channel on the amp.
From there, I ran new speaker wire to the front components and directly to the rear sub.
The amp is grounded firmly, and has 4 gauge wire running directly to the battery. The remote turn on is turning on the amp.
PROBLEM: I am getting no output to any of the new speakers?!? (all other stock speakers are still being provided power by the stock amp).
QUESTION: Is my setup incorrect? Can I not use these "speaker level" outputs from the stock radio?
