Hey guys, I consider getting rock sliders and looking for the ones that stick out about 3-4 inches so I could use them as regular steps to get in. I really like the ones installed on this 4R

It says that they're custom, but the shape looks very familiar, I think I've seen them somewhere online about a year ago

Coastal Offroad skid plate with stock bumper?

I have been looking at the coastal offroad front skid plate weld together kit and keep the stock bumper. I can't find any pics of this setup. I am concerned there will be a large gap between the bottom of the bumper and where the skid plate mounts under the front crossmember. It looks like the rad would be quite exposed to sticks or rocks when offroading. The Coastal offroad bumper comes right down to meet the skid and fills that gap. Has anyone seen this problem before? Maybe there is a better skid plate if you are sticking with the stock bumper? I have no skid plate right now so I would like something better than stock.

Yes it's rusty. Rust sucks.

My 4X Innovations sliders just arrived yesterday and are a similar style. Can’t beat their pricing ($380 shipped for a DOM steel set) if you’re looking for weld-ons.

I went with the 4x innovations sliders as well due to cost. Couldn't beat it. Love the kick out and overall look. They also serve as a step half decently.

I'm on 35s and with 1" wheel spacers with a 9in wide, -12et kffset wheel so the tire sticks out a bit more than you would usually see.

Hello, I’m new to this forum. I have a 2004 v6 4Runner. I purchased a used front demello off road bumper. I’m trying to find out what are my options for relocating the blinker and fog light. I only have one pod cut-out on the steel bumper. Is there an option that has both a blinker built in to a fog light or do I need to drill another hole and wire a blinker? Please help, thanks!

Welcome! For the fogs, I would run a fog pod in the bumper and aim it down so it won't blind people. For the signal I can think of 2 options

1: 06-09 headlights have the signal in the headlight. Housings are a direct swap and would either need the 06-09 lower headlight trim or just run without it. From there, just need the 06-09 signal plug, cut off 03-05 plug, and solder the new one in place. Low beams are also H11, so can get an adapter from 9006 to H11

2: Attach additional light to the bumper for the signal. Circular trailer signals, KC Cylones, and clearance or marker lights I've all seen used as turn signals for 03-05. Depending on the style, attach them to bumper and wire in to signals

Lost my '06 limited motor with 136k on it. Woman with the code reader stopped naming cylinder misfires at 4. Sharp bastard sagebrush pierced the radiator and by the time that temperature light comes on you dead. Enjoy your silly front bumpers. Loved the water collecting in the rear door.

That sucks. Most of these “silly front bumpers” completely block the radiator with 3/16” steel.

That looks really slick. I like the low profile. Price isn't bad either. I'm just starting this journey and the number of available 4th gen bumpers that are still available is alarming. I'd better get on it. Thanks for posting another option.

You open your hood usually to get to the clutch lever. At least all the people I know do that.

When installing RCI t-case skid, are we supposed to remove the small OEM plate that protects the t-case? I left mine on, but noticed after install that the RCI crossmember comes in contact with it. Skids went on fine but wondering if the oem plate should be removed or not.

Did you install the spacer that they gave you? They give you that so that it can clear the exhaust but maybe for that as well?
