Yikes! Had to rescue this thread from page 3!

Quick question. I need to get a little extra height out of my rear springs. Gear, skids and sliders are weighing down the back of my rig.
I plan on buying new springs eventually, but I plan on building a rear bumper in conjunction with that purchase. So I don't want to install HD springs right now and have it be bouncy and lifted too much.

So what are my options with a spacer? Or should I just stick it out with my truck having saggy drawers until I can do the spring/ bumper upgrade?

How bad is it sagging and how soon do you plan on adding the bumper and all?

since you're looking for the best temp solution, I'd just go with some new moog fj coils (provide a little lift in themselves with a slightly higher spring rate to not sag as much under your current same load) combined with a small spacer for now until you can get your hd coils. then sell the moog coils and spacer in the classifieds.

I have a lot of projects on the docket right now, so it's hard to say when i'll start the bumper. It could be as late as this fall. I'd love to do it sooner but I know how busy I am. If the water stays cold, I may start it before spring hits. Pretty much as soon as the weather warms up, i'll be at the lake most weekends.

Currently I have the Toytec RC2.0 springs in the back. Don't know if I mentioned that. My plan was to buy Metal Tech HD dual rate springs. But from what i've read they give close to 3" of lift on a 4R that doesn't have a rear bumper. :eek:

Have you looked into the 1.5" daystar spacers? I would think that would get it back to where it needs to be. Plus, they're pretty cheap. I think they can be had for $45 ish for the set

Have you looked into the 1.5" daystar spacers? I would think that would get it back to where it needs to be. Plus, they're pretty cheap. I think they can be had for $45 ish for the set

LOL I don't know anything about rear spacers. I will commence googling.

Under! I know the directions aren't clear, but that's where everybody has been messing up. They won't fit on top unless you take the bump stop out. They go on the bottom, between the axle and spring. ;-)
Sadly I found this out after I did mine and I tossed the old bump stop.

I'm running that exact spacer on my driver side to fix the lean and it is on top of the coil with the bumpstop in. you just have to let the weight of the truck press the bumpstop into the spacer. It wont fit when it's assembled off the truck.
