It was an easy way to increase flow on the 3.5 l 3rd gen v6 and it seems as if its also possible on a 5th gen http v6 ://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/63006-cold-air-intake.html
But can it be done on a 4th gen v6 instead of a CAI? As mentioned earlier i performed this mod and added a exhaust and it seem to breath better and throttle response was improved as well. Nothing huge but noticeable.
