Ya I know... I considered this when I started changing some of the parts. I felt bad because I sold many raw ones previously. But then I thought, should I not provide a better product to the community if I can? And the answer was yes; improve the mounts and try to keep them at the same price.
I am able to do this only because I reinvested any money I made from these before and purchased new tools and worked with distributors to make this happen. Ultimately it really came down to the fact that I will now have a bigger venue to sell these mounts beyond T4R. Using my new equipment to make more parts faster and being able to sell more allowed me to bring my costs way down, which I then put back into the parts.
I will offer this: if you have the raw mounts and want them powder coated for free, mail them to me and I will coat them with my next batch of coating and send them back to you. We split shipping; you ship to me, I ship to you. I will say though, that if you go to a local powder coater, most shoot black a lot. So you can probably have them coated locally for about $15 if you have them done a black color that they are using. Either way I will honor this offer, so shoot me a PM if interested!
