4th gen question

So I am looking at buying a 4th gen. Read all over and was looking for some clarification. I will be adding suspension lift and bigger rims and tires.

08-09 models have a traction control off button. What about previous years? Do they have a traction control off button? If not is there a bypass/mod I can do? Would hate to limit my search to only 08-09.

I will be doing most/all of my off roading on the beach. I just want to be able to push a button and disable all traction control when on the beach.

Never had a vehicle with traction control. I wont be doing any rock crawling and trail use will be little to light, but beach use heavy. Snow sometimes, Im in DC area.

i have a 2005 and i lock the centre diff and it turns off track but there's still some interfearance but if i go under the hood and unplug it from the brake assemabaly everything including abs turns off, and when i'm done i just plug it back in

Like the guy above me said, locking the center diff turns off most of the nannies. You won't get stuck because of traction control interference with the center diff locked unless you are doing something wrong, like stopping on an incline in deep sand.

Thanks everyone!

Pardon all the questions...just doing my due diligence. I have heard of the caliper/brake issues. No biggie, any other "issues" you guys know of?
