4th Gen specific for sale thread

Looking for the garage door head console. 05 4runner. Not sure what all years are the same.

Ebay is a good source for these. I bought one several months ago. All 4th gen years use the same one but they diff in color, sunroof option and microphone option as well as the Homelink option.

I don't remember, but are these plug and play for us that don't have the features?

As far as Homelink goes, yes. No plug or wiring mods needed at all. I don't know about the microphone side of things, but I suspect it's the same as long as you have the right stereo option to go along with it.

I am also curious about adding the factory console with the homelink. My 4Runner is 2004 SR5 and when I did dome light mod, I didn't see any extra plug or wire to be plug in for the homelink function, so more likely I have to splice the wires somewhere to get the power source to the extra function that didn't come with the vehicle l. Can someone please chime in if you already added the homelink to your 4runner.

Well it doesn't help you, but I have the passenger side! I also have a driver side, but it's all ripped a part and the lens is pretty much toast.

Like I said, it's plug and play. The existing connectors are pre-wired and have the extra slots all ready and waiting. No splicing needed. Total time to install and program is about 5 mins.

Damn... All I need is the lens. If the outside is a bit hazy I'll deal with that (400, 800, 2000grit wet sand and finish with compounding/clearcoat) but if there's other issues I can't. I did the black headlight mod and I also decided to polish my lenses. Passengers = perfect but long story short I did something stupid with the drivers side and put paint stripper (aaaahh :flame: ) on it and it's basically permanently damaged. Just need a new lens really. pics?

I've got an oem trac off switch, might be useful for you guys who want to do the VSC off mod but want an oem looking switch. I don't know how you'd go about wiring it but I'm sure some of the fine folks here on t4r.org could help you out. It's got about 6 inches of wire so you should have no problem slicing it in.
