Your thoughts on the purchase of a 2006 4Runner Sport V8
Hi all,
I've been driving Tacomas for years but have found that I need more room for family and friends. I'm considering a 2006 4Runner Sport with the V8. The 4Runner, from what I can see on Craigslist, looks great with 128k miles. The price is 10k. Any concerns about the mileage and price? I don't want to get into a vehicle that will need lots of mechanical work in the near future. Anything I should be concerned about?

Kristian, I'd move your question into one of the more general threads or start a new topic in the main forum. This is usually used for parts. That being said, I'd have no problems buying a 4th gen with 130k on it. Some of the guys with v8's can probably give you more info on the timing belt service that those require or you can search around the forum, plenty of info on it. But 130k miles is nothing and the price seems about average assuming someone's kept up on maintenance.

If anyone is close to or in the Richmond, VA area. These are a great steal. Sad for me that they're 3rd row seat option, so the rear seats won't work unless you do have 3rd row seating. The seats are different. Free bump and offer for the forum members!

Never installed, it has just been sitting in my garage gathering dust. I bought this as a scratch and dent from RCI. It should mount right up but i have not tried. Includes hardware. Local pick up cash only. Make an offer i need it gone in the next couple months.
