Used Gibson exhaust. Ran this for about 6 months. It's the version that dumps out the side, but as you can see I cut the twin tips off to modify the sound. The shiny looking brand new pipe is the section that goes in front of the muffler on a V8 model.
The two parts that are not sitting on top of the cardboard box are not Gibson parts. The tip is a DC Sports resonator tip and gave the exhaust note a much more pleasant sound. The 45 pipe is from the local parts store.
$100 free shipping anywhere.

Is the bulky cylinder a resonator or a muffler? will this set up also fit a v6? Im in need of a new muffler

One more question - does this fit with the standard rubber sealers/ gasket between the pipes? Ie that is the only other thing I’d need to install it?

How are the ARBs? Reviews of them on this site are mixed to say the least.

I did a pretty in depth write up in my build thread in my signature.
No Skids < OEM < ARB < Others
My 4Runner came without skids because there were a few rusted bolts and I'm sure the PO just never put em back on. OEM is better than nothing, the ARB is definitely better than OEM, but if you're a hardcore rock garden type person then you might want to go past ARB. But for me, forest trails, branches, blocks of ice/snow. The ARB's are plenty strong for their price point.

Honestly, the ARB would probably work pretty well, just based on the minimal amount of damage my stock stuff has taken. It would also protect the transmission a lot better. However, my concern is the transfer case plate... or rather lack thereof. Kind of leaning towards RCI aluminum as a result, but the ARB is so much less expensive.
I live in NM, so rock gardens happen, but I also don't tend to go looking for them very often.
