I have a used set of RCI steel skids available that I took off a 2006 v6. They're a few years old and still holding up great. They've been slammed on numerous times just to make sure they work....and sure enough, they did exactly what they were designed to do. Recently took a grinder to it with a wire brush attachment and got any scratches/rust off and sprayed 2 new coats of paint back over it.
Note that I didnt wire brush the old powder coating off, I only went over places where paint was flaking, bare metal was showing, or rust was starting to form. So the paint isnt super smooth but it does the job.
