4th gen with Kings?

I am looking into getting King coilovers with remote resi and the CDC valve for the front with UCA's. For the rear, I'm thinking of 2.0 King Shocks with icon coils.

I would like to know what other people's thoughts are about this setup and am wondering if anyone else has this setup or something similar.

I have talked to people who have the 2.5's with remote resi's all around and they really like it, however they said it really would take some fast and rough terrain to heat up the rear shocks enough to do damage due to it not having as much weight on them as the front do. 2.5's with remote resis all around is too much for me to spend.

i wouldnt get anything less than 2.5s for coilovers.

Many people have kings and Icons. Itll be a solid choice.

I have 2.5 icons up front and 2.0 foxes in the rear. Ive never outperformed the 2.0s in the rear. I definitely outperformed my previous 2.0 coilovers though.

I had them from a previous purchase and they work. I want to swap them to 2.5 icons though.

I prefer a digressive valving shock over a progressive.

I wasn't real thrilled about this, or how long it took to get a replacement.

They don't publish much (any?) information about rebuilding or revalving their shocks, and some parts are not readily available. If I were to buy again, I would go with King, Fox, or Radflo.

ICON being secretive in no way affects me not wanting to do business with them. I had my brother order custom length coilovers for his RAM, they didnt have any for an 8" lift, so now they do.

It certainly isn't difficult, I've rebuilt mine (posted a how-to thread) and other similar shocks in the past, but it is a PITA having to call them up for specs and parts. Real PITA if you want to tune valving.

King uses a linear compression valving which gives a more comfortable ride over small bumps (similar to Toyota OEM shocks) at the cost of body roll, nose dive, and other low speed compression movement. Icon use a digressive compression valving which makes them handle better/sportier on the road and work well on big bumps, but you feel every small bump and pebble in the road.
