4WD Indicator On & 4LO Indicator Is Flashing...WTF?!?!?!

I was trying to get the 4LO working this afternoon and unfortunately it wasn't working. What I gathered from searching here...it could be the actuator seized or frozen from lack of use. So now my 4WD indicator is on, but not engaged and also the 4LO indicator is flashing. The 4WD was engaging earlier, I could feel it and hear it engaging. So what do you guys think?

I'm not sure how to help diagnose it. But, a few years ago, I could not get the center diff to lock. It turned out to be the 4WD control module (behind the glove box) had got moisture in it and became corroded. I remember it being pretty expensive (3 or 4 hundred dollar job). No problems since then.

Theres another thread here a couple days old. Try cycling it from 2wd to 4LO several times. Fixed mine.

To make sure you're not overlooking the obvious, you did engage 4Hi first, then have the truck stopped and in neutral when you switched to 4Lo, correct?

Quick update!

I exercised the 4WD knob from 2HI to 4HI for about 15min, and nothing happened. The next time I started her up, the lights weren't lit up or flashing and the 4WD was engaging in 4HI and 4LO with no issues...problem solved!!

For those with having issues engaging in 4LO, trying exercising the 4WD knob from 2hi to 4hi.
