Hi again,
I have driven a number of 4x4 but never a Toyota 4R. I was warming up the transfer case oil in preparing to change it. I drove it to the parts store in 4x4. I think I had it in 4H AND the button pushed in on the side of the 4x4 shifter. (I have a 2000 limited 4R).
As I made as sharp a turn as possible to the left to pull in to park I felt a noticable hesitation or bind. Felt like it almost stalled the 4R. I figure I over extended the 4x4 or perhaps the larger tires rubbed on something so I quickly backed off. The tires are ~32" in diameter. I tried it again very slowly later to make sure it was not a weirdness wiht the road surface I did not see; same result.
This normal? Do I need to take lessons?
Thanks,
Warren
