5.4.08 El Dorado National Forest

I could have used a buddy today up in the El Dorado Forest off highway 50.

Things were fine until I came on this puddle, without another truck to rescue me if I got stuck - I chose not to cross it

Previous experience (in a Nissan 20 odd years ago) caused me and a lady freind to have to walk 10 odd miles - so I am little mud hole shy

Pic does not do the size of this thing justice, its about 40 yards across and looked to be a few feet deep

the white stuff, is of course snow in the pic

Pic attached, any of you local yokels want to go off roading sometime?

Hey Joe, anytime you want to off road, let me know. I have two runs planned coming up in the next two Sat. One is a club run, Nevada County area (Allegheny-North Bloomfield-Malakoff Diggings etc) and then the following weekend. Same run but this time with a historical guide plus a catered lunch at Caseys resturant. Let me know if you're interested. By the way, if you want to read more about it, Google "Robs Run CCMG". Just got my CB installed. On my list is to get rid of these performance rims and tires, a lift, and a change out of the Limited running boards. She's gonna go from a street performance racer to a off roading hot mama!!

Ruffian Thanks, I took a look at their web site, I could make this, but wont know what my weekend looks like for a few more days.

did you take any pics of where you mounted your CB?

I have a couple that I had used in prev 4Xs and I cannot make up my mind where to mount it

or i might just go buy another smaller one - since they keep getting smaller

and sure - Id be up for a meet up someplace off the trail - not sure where you are, Im in El Dorado Hills and I run up and down 49 quite a bit (mostly on my harley on weekends) how about a lunch meet in Coloma or similar sometime?
