5 speed shift lever ball seal Marlin

is this all I need to replace my shifter bushing? Just this one 12.50$ part? and I would need a white one right? I've been searching but haven't found a definite answer. I'm a noob so play nice with me. Thank you!

Looks right to me.

I haven't ever bought the Marlin versions, but the dealer part was always a huge improvement to the 81, 83 and 85 trucks I've had.

I did this; before I replaced it it was tough to shift into 1st gear. I would get it half way there, then it would slip out of gear when I tried to accelerate from a stop.

You want the white ball seat and the cheaper of the two shift lever sockets.

Yes on the white seat.

Are you 4wd with J-shift? The TC J-shifter takes a seat bushing, too (no socket, though). The blue one worked for me. I mean, as long as you're in there...

Remove and insert in 4H, it's easier.

I am 4wd. and the shifter looks like a J. so I think that's what you're talking about.. Thanks! I'll order the blue one also.
