5160's are on National Backorder with NO ETA

What other options do I have? I put my order in for 6112 fronts and 5160's rear now I'm told that the 5160's are on national back order with no ETA in sight.

Should I just go 5100 for now?

Yes. Then you have no reservoir to leak. And a warranty for more than 90 days.

Thanks, money had been committed to the shop so I guess I could buy it separately and give him the shocks to install with the 6112's

Seems to be no shortage of leakage reports here. Plus the 90 day warranty, to me, is a red flag. Companies are not in business to lose money. 5100s have the lifetime warranty.

And from someone that has had them on my T4R for 50,000mi., there have been some reports of leakage, but not that many as I recall.

i just looked and they dont have any in stock, I spoke to the shop doing the lift for me and he's just going to order the 5100's for the rears and when the 5160's come in i'll swap it out and sell the 5100's

Bilsteins 6112 paired with fox 2.0 or Icon VS2.0 is the sweetest spot.

Just had the 6112/5160 installed last Friday. Check out chitown4x4. They had them in stock......I think they will ship them to you.
