58" trail gear rock slider

The 58" TG rock trail gear should be good for 97 4runner correct ? As it says on wheelersoffroad it should but I bumped into few threads saying 58" is to short , is this true ?

Also anyone on here make quality skid plates ?

Take a tape out and measure the rocker on your truck. Rock sliders don't need to end smack up against the back/front of your tires, as it's really hard to get a rock up there, but it should cover most of the distance.
 
I've used them before on a 3rd gen. They are tough to beat for the price considering what I would have had in time bending, notching and buying the tube plus consumables. I ran them and never had an issue. They are a little short for the full rocker of the vehicle, but to hit the places it doesn't cover you would have to land on a pretty pointy rock.

Your talking about the trailgear 58" rock sliders ?
 
58" is too short for a third gen, they are meant for 1st gens and shortbed pickups. I think I went with the 67" ones, but I don't own the runner anymore, so check yours with a tape measure.

Great sliders for the price. Mine took a beating (took the full weight of the rig in a rollover) and held up fine.
