I looked for a 2014+ Spark Plug tutorial... Antman's daughter is AWESOME.. but 2014+ has the Air Injection pump all in the way. So I took some pics while I did my plug swap today. Hope this helps anyone wanting to tackle it themselves. I will go over what you need to do to get to the spark plugs.. but refer to [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] daughter How-to for the spark plug removal!
Tools you will need.
12MM Deep Socket
10MM Deep Socket
Various extensions
Ratchet
Small flat head screwdriver
Pliers
Now, first remove the engine cover (Pull Up and then Toward you)
You need to remove the Intake hoses.
The Circles identify 10mm Bolt to remove, as-well as the screw on the clamps.
The Triangle indicates a small vacuum hose (I already removed prior to the picture) Just pull on the hose and it will pop off.
The Diamond has wire loom that is held down by a small push in retainer. Take your pliers and squeeze underneath while you pull up on the wire loom. It should pop right up and out.
The Square has some sort of hose. Now, you can undo the clamp.. but if you just pull, that whole thing will pop out of the intake hose.
The Polygon is a plug you need to remove. You may need to use the screwdriver to get the retainer to be able to remove the plug. BECAREFUL.. ALL plastic plugs are brittle. They have been sitting next to the engine for X amount of miles. So use finesse when removing any electrical plugs.
The Square has a wire loom that is secured to the airbox by a simple clamp. Take your small flathead screw driver and push the retainer away, you should be able to open it up and pull the wire out.
The Diamond is the wire loom you have already removed.
PASSENGER SIDE
Unplg the connection in the Oval. Again, BECAREFUL as they are brittle.
The Squares identify the three 12MM nuts holding the Air unit. Use caution when done loosening the nuts.. they can drop onto your skid plate. Take extra time now to secure the nuts... or you will take EXTRA time removing skid plate to retrieve them!
At your exhaust manifold, there is two 10MM nuts in the Cirlces Use caution again.. as the above applies.
Once the nuts are removed, you can pull up on the unit and move it out of the way to get to the Spark Plugs. You will have an opening into your Exhaust Headers... I covered this with tape, dont want any foreign objects falling into the headers.
DRIVERS SIDE
The Square identifies the plug you need to disconect. Remove the clamp and pull the hose away.
The Circles identify the three 12MM nuts holding the unit in place.
The Circles are the two 10MM nuts holding the unit to the exhaust manifold. You can now move the unit out of the way. Again, cover the exhaust opening.
When you remove the Air unit, there is a hose that runs the front of the engine. This hose is just held in place by simple U clamps. Just pull the hose out and you can set the Air unit on the Intake Manifold.
To make removal of the rear Passenger Spark Plug easier, I removed the 10MM bolt holding the heater hoses to the intake manifold. The Circle shows the approximate location.
