5th gen 4runner squeaky brake sound

Funny to see this thread bumped when I was coming to ask this exact question tonight. I’ve got a 2020 Limited that started having squeaky brakes today. I’ve had it for almost 3 months and have about 1,200 miles on it and it just started doing it today. Good to know it seems like a normal thing with the 4Runner.

+1 for the squeal outside after sitting overnight... after a few good brakes it's gone.

Also have the same problem on 2019 SR5 with 5500 Miles. Taking it next Monday for first service and I’ll ask them to check it out

2019 SR5P, 5100 miles. Same as described. It comes and goes.

brakes squeal, been doing since new... well actually about a week or so after new. still does it every morning, or after sitting for half the day. Asked at 1st service, their answer.... its normal

I have a 2010 5th gen with 107,000 miles and the squish is real.

And normal.

Real normal.
