5th Gen exhaust compatible with 4th Gen?

i have a 4th gen, and picked up a replacement cat-back pair of OE pipes from someone who took them off new from a 2017. took me a long time to get around to installing them. had been concerned about exact fit. couldn't get an answer from Toyota parts. research didn't give me any definitive answer.

i can report that the back two pipes ARE an exact fit around the substructure.

my real question is, would all of the pipes/cats from that point forward a direct fit?

That's awesome! A few questions regarding fit & clearance:

- Was the 5th gen OEM exhaust mounted on a V6 or V8 4th gen?
- Is there currently a stock sized spare tire mounted underneath?
- Is there currently a factory tow hitch in place?

my 4th gen is a v6, and 5th only comes with a v6 in the US. full spare, and factory tow hitch.

looking at the magnaflow outlander cat back, i see its a direct fit, but depending on the inlet portion, it maybe shorter or longer depending on the year of the truck, you can craw under the verify, i know when i bought a borla dual cat back, mines was extended 4 inches since its a v6, bought it off a member with a v8.
