5th gen Exhaust

So today in Moab I basically crushed my exhaust pipe into pieces on my 2016 TRD pro. So my question is, what does everyone think the best aftermarket exhaust might be?

I would like a more aggressive sound but don't want to be "that guy" with the pointlessly loud exhaling.
Also, side exit vs rear? Is a side exit exhaust much better for clearance?

Supposedly, side exit helps a little with exhaust fumes when the rear window is down.
Can't help with aftermarket advise, but I'd love to see pics of the smashed exhaust.
If just the tailpipe was damaged, you might be better off just having an exhaust shop do a tucked up turn-down.

Check out borla exhaust and magnaflow, those are probably the most popular choices that are designed for our trucks. Side exit is best for clearance but also helps to direct the exhaust gases away from the truck when the back window is down. A lot of people including myself experience some exhaust gas being sucked into the cabin through the open back window. As for sound, you'll just have to go by some crappy videos and people's word.

TRD Exhaust does not exist. Another name to throw in your hat would be the Gibson exhaust. It seems to have hit or miss reviews but costs a lot less and has a dual side exit.

Borla Exhuast for a TRD Pro

I contacted Borla and apparently there is a clearance issue on the TRD Pro suspension. The representative said that they were working on a fix due sometime this fall.

Why not just chop the pipe back at the axle and call it a day. Cheap and doesnt make your 4runner sound like a civic

That's strange, I have Borla cat back and no issues. Very happy with it btw.

Look at the magnapack. Friend has it on his 4Runner and it's sounds mean. Not ricey at all.

Im curious if the Tacoma TRD exhaust would fit. Ive tried looking at some pics and the hangers seem to be somewhat the same. I figure the front pipe would just have to be shortened. Its either that or a Borla and a side exit added at a shop. Anybody have any thoughts on TRD Tacoma exhaust fitting?
