5th Gen off road light mounting idea

Hey guys, first post here. Just ordered a set of Rigid dually floods and spots for inclement weather and driving on dark country roads/beaches. Got the amber covers for the floods to try out with snow/fog.
I have a stock 2014 TP. I haven't seen much discussion on Rigids on the 5th gen. I'm thinking of putting the spots behind the grill, possibly cutting an opening and making a carbon fiber surround to clean up the look. -not waiting/paying for the rigid custom grill.
My main question...Regarding the floods, I saw these (see photos) possible mounting points under the bumper that seem to go directly into the frame and are on the highest point under the truck and close to the front. It appears to be a decent spot to mount to avoid snow glare etc and maybe even allow some minor ditch angling. Im not doing any heavy duty rock crawling so I don't think I'll be smashing them on anything. Has anyone out there looked into this or have any input? maybe I'll just put them behind the grill? Ill be looking into some security screws since they won't be protected.

Those don't mount to the frame. There is a metal bracket that rivets to the aluminum bumper. I wouldn't mount anything to them without replacing the rivets with nuts and bolts. My rivets gave way a long time ago, with only the plastic bumper coverings connected to them.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback. In terms of lighting, is it worth it or should I just stick them behind the grill?

I took my rigid floods out of my rigid grill and replaced with Amber spots, the dually flood won't do anything in rain or snow. Just my experience and that was based on being mounted in the lower grill of a 2011. I don't think you'd be happy with those behind the grill based on my experience. Maybe it would be better mounted low but again probably not for rain or snow, the light just spreads to far to be useful.

I understand that you are saying no rock crawling, but your proposed spot is begging for them to be torn off.

I put mine in the lower grille where my winch plate is. I'm sure you could fab something up to make this work on either side of your license plate.
