5th Gen Spotted Thread

I drove from Dallas to Canon City Colorado and back over the last week, and saw tons of 4runners...

I have a white trd with a Thule roof pod, and most likely waved.

It's astounding the amount of t4r's I wave at, and the owner looks at me like I'm batshit crazy... will never understand

Yeah I agree, I'm starting to feel like an idiot when I wave because no one waves back haha! I just got back from a 2,000 mile road trip from AZ to NorCal and back, no waves returned after about a dozen attempts. But what I realized is there are approx 115,000 members on this forum, thats gens 1-5. With that being said, there have been almost 520,000 5th gen 4runners sold in the US alone. You would assume most guys with nice builds are like us and are forum members, but you would be surprised how many times I come across a nice build and the guy has never heard of the forum or he just bought his 4runner that way. Truth is not everyone has the mentality of "Damn that is a nice 4runner, wassup!" TRD Pro owners absolutely never wave! So to you sir, thanks for waving haha. 3rd, and 4th gen dudes tend to wave a bit more in my experience, shit I even have jeeps throw up a wave!

It is time to start a movement! Calling all T4R owners, gens 1-5, it is our civil duty to each other to throw a few fingers in the air when passing by another nice looking T4R!

Drive up to Jersey, we throw fingers up all the time; regardless of what other people drive

Saw a Super White Trail or Pro (hard to tell) in Atlanta, GA at the corner of N. Highland and Ponce De Leon. In the brief moment I saw your rig it looks like you had SS front bumper with LED, Gobi stealth roof rack with the roof ladder, and a snorkel. What a beautiful ride you have! I gave you the thumbs up as I passed by but I'm not sure you saw. Hope to see your rig again so I can just drool.

Yeah my first car was a wrangler on 35's, so I got used to the jeep wave and just assumed people did that will any modded car lol. I quickly realized I was mistaken

Does this 5th Gen have KDSS?

Does this pic show KDSS just behind front tire? I have heard people talk about sometimes you can see it if you get low enough in the picture, and I found this pic, curious if that's KDSS?
