5th Gen SR5 stock Wheel Specs?

Yes I also have used that tires-n-wheels comparator site; great tool! It's funny you wouldn't think this is rocket science but it's actually pretty complicated and hard to get a straight answer, even from some of the tire suppliers.
Anyway of course the 265 refers to just the rubber, but when I mentioned 1.7", I was talking about where the outer edge of the wheel rim ended up. There's the issue that the same size tire can fit a few different wheel widths; like the stock tire can go on a 7 or an 8.5" tire.... I think one of the shops told me if you go to a 9" width wheel, then its time to get a slightly wider tire.
As for the 1.7" ; I didn't take the time to really measure after all said and done but I would have needed to do the same before I took the old wheels off and might be a little tricky to get an exact measurement (maybe hold a 2x4 against the fender flares and measure from there to the rim?). But from the look of them, the tires certainly look closer to flush with the fender flares than they were stock- tucked in a little...
but yeah maybe you're right; maybe if just considering the rubber it could be a mere 0.9 inches out....

I think you are 100% correct, regardless of tire width that rims outer lip is sitting out 1.7" and the tire most go along with it...

Sorry to bump an old thread but it's touching on a topic I'm trying to sort out and being a noob I can't yet post a new thread.

I recently got a 2017 TRD Off Road and in spite of my searches can't find the stock wheel specs for it. I want to keep the street tires on the stock wheels and get a used set of stock wheels (any year that fits right) to put some off road tires on and swap as needed.

Is there a place to look up the stock wheel sizes for each year and trim or are all 5th gens the same? There's lots of 5th gen used wheels for sale for various trims but not sure if they match my current specs, heck I'm not even sure what my current wheels are speced to.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes indeed, but I don't trust googles data since it's been wrong too many times for me on other things and prefer a reliable source. Also unfortunately it lacks the offset/backspace info as well.

I've come across some specs saying either 7" or 7.5" width, not sure how reliable they are though.

SR5s and TRD Pros are 17 x 7.

Trail Editions (now called TRD Off-Road) are 17 x 7.5.

Limiteds are 20 x 7.5 (it's highly unlikely you'd want to use them on your Off-Road).

For stock wheels, the offset and backspacing would be identical for wheels of the same width, so the numbers aren't meaningful unless you decide to go aftermarket.

Stock Trail wheels show up for sale on the buy/sell thread here on 5th Gen T4R all the time.

You know what, I'm wrong about the bolded part. That's what you get for trusting some random guy on the internet.

The 17 x 7 TRD Pro wheels have a different offset (they stick out a bit farther) than the 17 x 7 SR5 wheels.

I'm sure all the hard numbers are available somewhere here on T4R if you use the search function.

Thanks for your input, much appreciated. You're right that they show up for sale often, just wanted to be sure what will work.

As for Google I've lost count how many times it has given me wrong store hours or bad phone numbers, as such I try to stick with their search results as opposed to the google content data (or whatever it's actually called). But a lot can be learned at a forum of random folks on the internet.

I don`t trust you, random guy! The Limited rims are stamped 20 x 7J (7 inch width).

20x7 et12 BS4.5. On wheel-size.com you have to make the stock LE wheel 8" wide to get proper offset and backspace.

Picked up a set of these apparently hated 'snow-flake' wheels for a set of studs...i think they look like a snow-flake seems perfect for snow tires.

New take offs of a said 2018 SR5 T4R.

One of 4 is different but the same.
Inner casting/machining is different.
Fit and size/Off set and front is the same.
