5th Gen Sub enclosure wanted

Did someone confirm a harness that worked? and also what wires behind the head unit one is to tap into?

I see the wire colors but no correlation to the wire harness colors.

Looking to do a under the seat install. I saw pictures of he kicker box work... Are there any others and a specific part number that doesnt get to big?

This is what I used, works great and has RCA outputs, I did have to trim a plastic pin on the back of the radio to get it to fit

The JL microsub 6.5 fits almost perfectly in the far right corner. Sounds great too if your not looking for rattle your neighbor bass. I found one at the crutchfield outlet for 168 to the door...can't beat the deal.

will this work with 3rd row. this is just what im looking for. that custom build on here would be better, but im pretty lazy.

Any 5th Gen owners near Connersville, IN 47331?

I contacted a a custom sub enclosure company subthump.com about possible 5th gen custom box for a shallow mount 10 inch sub. Hoping for a nice fit behind the cubbyhole in the rear or replacing it.

They replied:

"Hi,

Toyotas are not all that popular around here and I have never had access to one or know anybody who owns one. If we could get access, I would gladly do one to add to our catalog. Thx!

They have a good selection of other makes and models and the FJ, and look to make some nice custom shapes.

will this work with 3rd row. this is just what im looking for. that custom build on here would be better, but im pretty lazy.

I was able to install the stock JBL sub enclosure with an 8" JL sub in the side pocket location, takes up no cabin space and works with the third row

It installs over the drivers side rear wheel wll.

I just purchased a custom enclosure via ebay that fits a 10” shallow mount in the cargo cubby area. Should be here by next week. Ill measure it and order a woofer. Jl audio most likely.

What woofer are you using? How many watts are you feeding it? How does it sound?

I did a post here about my experience with it all: Full Audio Replacement - Focal/TacoTunes

But basically it's wired for 2ohms with their setup, the sub is an old Image Dynamics ID12D4 12" rated for 250W RMS and 450W peak

So it definitely has bass but it's not going to rattle your windows. I personally wanted a little more bass because I'm an idiot who likes having no hearing but I can certainly live with what this gives me. Can always upgrade to a different 12" later, though would probably need to add a mono amp
