Hey guys since the last long post got locked i guess its time to start a new one!

As most of you know, Toyota decided to scrap the supercharger program after the 100 hour full throttle under load test and engine tear down resulted in a "scuffed" bearing so they decided to not pursue the supercharger program for the 4runner anymore. and since then have dismembered the entire supercharger program for all lines.

Magnuson is who built the setup for toyota and since toyota no longer holds the non compete clause since they got out of the market, Magnuson is selling the kits themselves as their own. their current tacoma and FJ setups go thru 2015 and they are currently testing on the new 2016 engines AS WELL AS on the 4runner. I talked to a fella by the name of Tim at magnuson earlier and he said they are coming they are currently testing on the 4runner and the FJ right now. He didnt have the release date but he said they are definitely being worked on and going to be produced.

Well if they work on 2010-2015 FJ Cruiser and 4Runner engines, then there won't be any issues on 2016~2017 as the engines have not changed. The Tacoma Engines haven't changed either really from 2005~2015 for the most part, only the 2016+ model year say the change to the 2GR-FKS engine.

I'm just curious how Magnuson is doing ECM Management since they no longer have Toyota/TRD support to do "reflashes" of the ECM. Are they using piggyback units? Also are they providing Fit-Kits like TRD did or are they leaving that up to the customer?

Post Note-

You know if they are reviving the 4.7L 2UZ-FE supercharger kits?

Supercharger

If this really comes to pass then it will be advertised heavily and become big news. I'm waiting until it's actually available before getting excited about more horsepower for our 4Runners.

As for the Likes, I like the "Sigh" posted above.
