We took some sage advice and get a heckofa deal on a new 2016. All stock now except having the dealer swap out the Duelers for Toyo Open County ATs for a very minimal cost.

We were misinformed by some reviews from Tripadvisor and got too close (less than 1/4 mile), which was not allowed by local Indian tribes as we found out afterwards. But man what a magnificent place to be! For the last mile the road was a bit challenging at times. The scenery was breathtaking. The only sound you hear was the wind blowing across the barren land and the rock itself, is purely magical.

I do not recommend getting so close though, to respect the Indian culture. You can still get killer shots from afar.

I haven't been to New Mexico since I was about 5, but that's one of the reasons I stopped going to Arizona.
Seems like 75% of the state is either Indian reservations (intensely restricted) or national parks (only slightly less restricted).

Here is my very stock, 2016 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium. Bought it in October. My first ever brand new car. Love it so far.

This picture was taken in January in Raleigh, NC after we had about two inches of snow (and of course, everyone in the area panicked, LOL.)

Haven't posted on here in years... Here's my 2011 that's still going strong after 100,000 miles without a single problem. Still original battery and still running the BFG A/T's that I replaced the Duelers with for the last 70,000 miles. This became my wife's dd and I ended up with a Jeep Willys Wheeler two years ago. Well anyway, I bought some American outlaw wheels with studded Cooper Discoverer Tires this winter. I still love this thing and between the 4runner and Jeep I don't see us changing that combo in the future.
