hi all, sorry for waking this thread up i have a 4th gen 4runner (2003 V6) and just bought 5th gen suspension(2020 TRD PRO) for 75$ for all of it. anyways my question is that the 5th gen suspension i bought does not have top caps, i am wondering if i can reuse the ones off my 4th gen on the new suspension. thank you all! hope your all doing good in this crazy time!

The springs should work, though, and should lift the front about like FJ springs would. Slightly less in the back.

I put an early TRD PRO 4Runner lift on my 09 “urban runner”. It’s not a direct bolt on but it takes minimal fabrication to make it work. I’m very happy with it and with a sander and 1/2 drill bit you can easily do it yourself.

posting the same question on different threads is not going to give you a different answer. No, you cant "bolt these up without modifications", you will need to change the lower bushings.

From what I've read all you got to do is take a bit off the width of the lower bushing. 1/2 a mm on each side or something like that.

Yes the hardware and top hat from your 4th gen should work fine. I had all the hardware and top hat from the fifth gen suspension and it bolted right up. Alternatively you can grab new top hat and hardware from Napa if your existing stuff looks rough. It’s a great swap. You’ll love it.

Hey Yall!

I just acquired some 2022 TRD Front and rear (used) suspension and the front UCA's. Going to be doing the swap over labor day weekend on a lift and should be able to get some precise measurements and pictures to post. Throwing it out now so if there's anything specific you wanna see I can take pictures of. I'm Midwest so I get to do with a little rust and shenanigans. Should be a good time.
