6.5 or 6x9 in an 03 sport?

I have an 03 sport with the jbl speaker system. I have read where some say the front are 6x9 but some say they arent. Is it easier to just do 6.5 in both the front and rear speakers with a bracket for the front? I need to replace and want some good sound quality

I don't have the JBL, but my fronts were 6x9s. I replaced the front and rear speakers with 6.5s and the associated adapters.
