Having lifted several vehicles, I'm no longer a fan of anything over 3", unless you're building a dedicated trail rig. You start getting in to so many other issues ...many at a high cost. Personally, I like the look of a 3" lift on a 4Runner, but if I do it to mine down the road I'd aim for closer to 2".

Actually, I'm betting the CVs will be just fine. They used the Fabtech kit for the FJ. It's a bracket kit, meaning the LCA mounts and diff gets dropped down about 6". The include new knuckles so the UCAs and tie rods stay put stay put.

So a 33x12.50 tire on a 14" wide wheel. I bet that tire bead was a joy to seat.

thats what I was thinking people saying that it have soo much problem etc ... but if it did why do Fabtech and Rough Country offer 6" lifts for FJ and Tacoma's which essentially is a 4runner underneath the skin

Thanks for the explanation. I learned something today. Of course, as a 4x2 on-road T4R driver, I probably won't have much use for it... :tongue1:
