7mge AFM swap & California Emissions

I'm in the early research stages of this particular swap, but can't find any info on if this is California legal. Can I do this swap and still pass smog?

What smog guy will notice it's different? As long as your AFR is stoichiometric, who would be the wiser?

I was going to try using a Mazda MX6 AFM. You've gotta use your factory stuff in it anyway. Doubt the smog guy will even take a second look.
